Biography:

Dr. Siriwan Suebnukarn is a Professor at Thammasat University, Thailand, with a multidisciplinary background in Dentistry and Computer Science. Her research focuses on developing intelligent systems for clinical decision support and education. She is a pioneer in intelligent medical tutoring, virtual reality dental simulation, and applying artificial intelligence for the automated diagnosis of oral and maxillofacial diseases.

Abstract:

Artificial intelligence (AI) is revolutionizing digital dentistry by providing innovative tools for diagnosis, treatment planning, and clinical decision-making. This narrative review explores AI’s transformative role in key areas of dentistry, focusing on its ability to enhance diagnostic accuracy and optimize clinical outcomes. The applications of AI in dental imaging, diagnostics, and treatment simulations are thoroughly examined. In addition, challenges related to ethical considerations, clinical integration, and data security are addressed. This review provides a comprehensive overview of how AI is advancing digital dentistry and shaping the future of clinical practice.
