Abstract:

In today’s rapidly evolving digital landscape, cybersecurity threats are becoming increasingly sophisticated, necessitating the adoption of next-generation cybersecurity strategies to safeguard critical information assets. Traditional security measures are no longer sufficient to counter emerging cyber threats, such as AI-driven attacks, advanced persistent threats (APTs), ransomware, and deepfake-based social engineering. This keynote session, titled “Next-Gen Cybersecurity: Advanced Techniques, Live Demonstrations, and Hands-on Insights”, aims to equip cybersecurity professionals, researchers, and organizations with cutting-edge knowledge and practical skills to combat modern cyber threats effectively.

The session will commence with an overview of the evolving threat landscape, emphasizing the impact of cyber warfare, nation-state attacks, and the rise of ransomware-as-a-service (RaaS). We will discuss real-world cyber incidents that highlight the vulnerabilities in existing security frameworks and the necessity of adopting a proactive cybersecurity approach rather than a reactive one.

A key focus of this keynote will be on AI and machine learning in cybersecurity. As attackers increasingly leverage AI to automate and enhance their attacks, defenders must use AI-driven security models for real-time threat detection, predictive analytics, and anomaly detection. The session will feature a live demonstration of a simulated phishing attack, showcasing how cybercriminals craft deceptive emails and malicious websites to steal credentials. Attendees will learn how to identify phishing indicators, recognize fraudulent domains, and implement anti-phishing measures such as email authentication protocols (DMARC, SPF, DKIM) and user awareness training. Another critical aspect of modern cybersecurity is the Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA), which eliminates the traditional perimeter-based security model and adopts a “never trust, always verify” approach.
